🧘🏻♂️ My purpose
This practice aims to validate some patterns I developed as I built teams and helped companies tackle the challenges of scaling products and product engineering organizations.
🧐 My focus
I can help you think through various opportunities that impact your business, usually rooted in Engineering. I solve problems, and if I can't solve your problem, I likely know someone who does.
Some of the opportunities I've been working on are:
- Organizational Structures — Role definition, leveling, comp strategy, performance processes.
- Leadership Practices & Coaching — Technical principles, coaching managers, senior ICs & technical leads.
- Product Engineering Strategy — Planning, goal setting, impact and progress measurement, cadence setting, operational modeling.
- Product Management and Go-to-Market Strategy, especially for DevOps, Observability tools, B2Developer, and open-source-based products and platforms.
- Technical Challenges — Infra or architectural bottlenecks, stack evaluation.
- Acceleration of Software Delivery - 🚀 ship faster, better, & with confidence.
- Distributed practices — Communication architecture, team building, hiring, onboarding.
🛩 My approach
A typical engagement involves evaluation, execution/evolution, and departure.
- I start with interviews to understand your challenges and help develop a plan.
- I partner with your team for a few hours weekly to build a plan and help you execute it.
- Depending on the kind of engagement, I'll wrap up and transfer any remaining items to your team.
